Are your products vegan?

Our sunscreens contain no animal products. Our lip balms contain beeswax.


Are your products gluten-free?

Yes, our products contain no wheat or gluten.


Are your products reef-safe?

The technical definitions of “Reef-Friendly” and “Reef-Safe” vary depending on organization and jurisdiction. We label our sunscreen spray products as “Reef-Friendly” as they comply with  “Hawaii Act 104 Reef Compliant,” which means our products do not contain Oxybenzone or Octinoxate. However, our lip balms do contain Octinoxate.


Are there harmful chemicals in your sunscreen?

Our chemical sunscreen formulas are free from questionable ingredients:


  • Phthalate-free

  • Paraben-free

  • Oxybenzone-free

  • Octinoxate-Free


Does Shade Rays sunscreen contain any vitamins?

  • Our chemical sunscreen spray contains Vitamin A to help combat sun damage.

  • Our lip balms contain Vitamin E to keep skin soft and stay moisturized.


Are your products Fragrance Free?

  • Our chemical sunscreens contain a light, tropical scent

  • Our mineral sunscreens are fragrance free. 

  • Our lip balms scented with their own flavors.


Are your products Organic?

Our mineral sunscreen formula is 100% organic with Zinc Oxide & Titanium Dioxide

Our non-mineral sunscreen formula is reef-friendly, contains no Phthalates, Parabens, Oxybenzones, or other harmful chemicals. 

Our all natural bug spray formula is 100% organic with all natural ingredients.

 

Does Shade Rayz test on animals?

No, our raw ingredients and products are not tested on animals.


Is your product packaging recyclable?

Yes, our sunscreen cans and the lip balm tubes are all recyclable.


Do your spray products contain aerosol?

No, our spray products are propelled from the can via a bag and pump mechanism. No aerosols.


Do your products contain peanuts/tree nuts?

No, our products are free from peanuts and tree nuts. 


Where are your products made?

Our products are manufactured in the USA.


How often should I reapply sunscreen?

Apply sunscreen 15 minutes before sun exposure. Be sure to cover all exposed areas on the body and allow it to absorb. Reapply sunscreen every 80 min, or more often after swimming, activity, sweating and toweling off.


How does Shade Rayz dry on the skin?

Shade Rayz applies lightly to the skin, creating a soft and moisturized feeling that’s not greasy or 

Tacky. Shade Rayz absorbs in the skin to give a moisturized, non-sticky, silky finish.


Can dark skin tones use Shade Rayz?

Yes, Shade Rayz can go on all skin tones.
